Yorkshire Alsop Trophy Presentation at Northallerton Bowling Club

Bowls England Qualifier Numbers
I am pleased to announce that finally Bowls England have released the figure showing the number of qualifiers each county gets at Leamington this year. Here is our summary: Men's Four Bowl Singles - Yorkshire get two qualifiers as we ranked 21st with the top 27 getting two qualifiers. Our 95 entries were well above the 71 which was 28th. Pairs - Yorkshire get two qualifiers as we ranked 24th with the top 27 getting two qualifiers. Our 72 entries were above the 57 of 28th. Tr


Excellent Day for Yorkshire Ladies at Northern Counties Finals
Yesterday, Sunday 10th May, Yorkshire Ladies enjoyed an excellent day at the Northern Counties Finals held at Consett Bowls Club, Durham, competing in all four disciplines. In the Singles semi-final, Cressida Fordy was narrowly defeated by the eventual winner from Cumbria. Our Pairs team of Janet Farnsworth and Wendy Pickard battled hard but were defeated by Cumbria in the final. There was great success, however, in both the Triples and Fours competitions. Bowls Yorkshire Ladies season underway
The Bowls Yorkshire Ladies had a lovely sunny afternoon's bowling, followed by a cream tea, at York Railway B&SC to get the new season underway.


What a fantastic day we had at York RB&SC for our Junior Get Together Bowling Event
We were blessed with a beautiful hot and sunny day, perfect for getting out on the green. The session kicked off with a warm-up, followed by a fun and engaging target mat activity to get everyone into the swing of things. Our juniors then worked hard practicing a range of key bowling skills, including: • Jack movement • Drawing shots • Weight control • Driving shots Short break for lunch and then the juniors received a training session on measuring, expertly led by David & Le
