Yorkshire Patrons
The Yorkshire Patrons travel across the county, visiting clubs by invitation to enjoy relaxed, friendly afternoons of bowls. Matches are played in a sociable, stress-free atmosphere and are usually followed by a meal/refreshments giving players the chance to enjoy the hospitality of the host club.
Becoming a Patron is a wonderful way to represent Yorkshire, meet new people from across the county, and play on greens you might never otherwise visit.

Patrons matches are friendly fixtures, but they carry a special significance — this is your opportunity to pull on a county shirt and represent Yorkshire. Whether you're a seasoned player or simply someone who loves the game, you are welcome.

We are particularly looking for players for our next two fixtures — please do get in touch if you're interested. All matches start at 2.00pm and are followed by a meal unless otherwise stated. A nominal match fee of £10 applies (actual cost may vary).

Please return nominations at least 21 days before your first selected match. Even if you are not nominating this season, please still return the form so records can be kept up to date.
What does it cost?

Life Patron membership: £25 — a one-off payment. Once you're a Patron, you never pay this again.

Match fee: £10 per match (nominal — actual cost may vary). This covers the meal and refreshments after the game.
What do I wear?
Matches are played in County Whites and County Shirts. Don't worry if you don't have a county shirt — a white top is fine, and Stewart (Patrons Secretary) can help you source a county shirt if needed. If you find you're playing regularly, you may wish to get your own, but there's no pressure to do so before you've tried it.
