Disciplinary Regulation 9
Bowls England disciplinary code, Regulation 9 covers behaviours such as bullying, harassment, unsporting conduct, abusive messaging, or any breach of Bowls England Laws or Safeguarding Policies.
It is the mandatory framework used to handle complaints of misconduct at Club, County, and National levels.
It is a condition of affiliation that all clubs and county associations include Regulation 9 in their governing documents.
Recently updated on 1 December 2025, the current version of R9 focuses on a proportionate and fair approach to discipline.
Every club affiliated to Bowls Yorkshire has been issued with a short guide, resources and templates to access the resolution processes required for R9 (Updated 01/12/2025).
You can access the full version of R9 Bowls England’s official framework on the dedicated R9 section of the Bowls England website.
