Bowls Big Weekend

Bowls Big Summer.png

Hosting a Bowls Big Weekend event is a fantastic way to raise your club's profile, attract visitors, and welcome new members — all essential for your club's future.

This year's event runs 23rd–26th May, and it works just like an open day. You don't need to commit to the full weekend — a minimum of one two-hour session is all that's required, whatever works best for your club. Bowls England provides a resource pack and balloons to help you make an impact, and many clubs have successfully gained new members through the scheme.

Looking ahead to 2026: Due to the Commonwealth Games, Bowls Big Weekend is being expanded to become Bowls Big Summer, running from 23rd July – 2nd August 2026. Bowls England will officially launch this in April 2026, when resources and materials will be made available.

Bowls Bash

Bowls Bash is a new, casual version of bowls - a fun game, sociable and anyone can join in.

If you sign up for this, your club will get £350 worth of resources.  There is a video of an actual Bowls Bash to use as a training session.
